No. 01: Yours Truly
WAKA WAKA x Nodi Seat Cushions, Masha Tea, Mondo Tempo, Studio Lunch and Home & Studios
I. a seat cushion & breakfast set
WAKA WAKA x Nodi bamboo silk hand-bound (and reversible) seat rugs are now available and they look especially sexy on their metal breakfast set of chairs.
II. a matcha powder & tea co
Masha Tea’s matcha powder has my heart. Simple Sundries has been selling it at RLT since the store opened last fall, and it has had a steady home on my counter ever since. I enjoy mine with homemade almond milk (1 c almonds / dash of vanilla / 3 c water — blend her up & strain with a nut milk bag).
III. an album I’m zoning out to by the pool
Freak Heat Waves’ new album Mondo Tempo is gold all the way through. They’re playing with Cindy Lee in LA at the end of October.
IV. a weekly text with at-home lunch inspo
Gohar World sneaks into my texts each week with their Studio Lunch – an actually good throw-it-together lunch (recipe & step-by-step included) usually with a feature of their linens/tableware. Here we have asparagus velouté with a boiled egg.
V. an index of artists’ homes & studios
I will never get the couple hours of my life I spent on Homesandstudios back, but I’m ok with that. Russel & Mary Wright’s former home in Hudson Valley has been top of my list since Dev gifted me the book Dragon Rock at Manitoga for my birthday last year.
